Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA)

A professional body for architects in the UK, founded in 1834.

RIBA is a member organisation, with over 40,000 members, a HQ in central London and a dozen regional offices. The Institute also maintains a dozen regional offices around the United Kingdom. Chartered Members are entitled to call themselves chartered architects and to append the post-nominals RIBA after their name; a fellow of the institute may add FRIBA.
