Microlam

A manufactured structural wood beam that is made from strands of wood bonded with adhesive under pressure. It normally comes in 3.8 cm (1.5 inch) thickness and 24 cm (9.5 inch), 29 cm (11.5 inch) and 35.5 cm (14 inch) widths). Microlam beams have a higher strength rating than solid sawn lumber.
