Gutter

A plastic or metal trough fixed along the lowest point of roof for the collection of rain water from the eaves. The water is then carried to ground level by the downspout.

Guttering comes in two standard designs: Ogee; a moulded pattern commonly sitting on the wallhead; and half-round; a semi-circular section, fixed to fascia with brackets.
